Who am I??
Thanks for checking out my portfolio! I'm Aidan, a junior at Cornell University studying Information Science with minors in Business and Cognitive Science. Growing up in Chicago with roots in both Taiwan and India has given me a mix of perspectives that influences how I think about design and problem-solving. My multicultural background helps me approach challenges with an open mind and a willingness to blend ideas from different experiences and viewpoints.
I'm particularly fascinated by how technology and design intersect to shape everyday experiences. Whether it's creating a seamless user interface or coming up with innovative solutions for complex problems, I strive to make things that are not only functional but also enhance the quality of life for the people who use them. I believe that the best design feels natural—almost invisible—and can solve problems without getting in the way.
During my time at Cornell, I've had the opportunity to work on projects that explore human-centered design, user research, and prototyping. I love digging into the details of how people interact with products and figuring out where the friction points are so I can create solutions that feel effortless. Outside of academics, you might find me on the tennis court, playing the guitar, or experimenting with new creative projects. I enjoy pushing myself to learn new skills, whether it's picking up a new hobby or diving into a different area of design. I also like to stay curious—exploring new places, trying out new foods (🍱➡️😁), and meeting people from different walks of life. All of these experiences feed into my design practice, keeping me inspired and always looking for new ways to make a positive impact.
